Performance for Giants: Raumtechnik realizes IAA Highlights.

The IAA Mobility regularly transforms Munich into a hotspot for visionary mobility. Yet, before the spotlights are switched on, technical excellence is required behind the scenes. Under the guiding theme “Performance for Giants,” Raumtechnik proved its versatility this year: The team simultaneously realized two major projects for Mercedes-Benz and the Renault Group that could hardly be more different – ranging from high-precision work in the exhibition hall to massive steel construction in the city center.

Precision at the Summit: The Mercedes-Benz Brand Presence

At the IAA Summit in the Munich exhibition halls, the focus was on the structural implementation of the stand concept by jangled nerves. The task for the Raumtechnik team was to make the challenging geometry and the high-quality material world of the design physically tangible. The goal was to create a stage worthy of innovation leaders like the Concept Car AMG GT XX or the new electric GLC.

The realization demanded craftsmanship and custom work down to the smallest detail. For instance, the assembly team installed a precise ceiling grid made of filigree LED light lines, which had to be exactly aligned with the underlying architecture. Expansive high-gloss surfaces were laid on the floor – an execution demanding absolute perfection, as the reflective surfaces forgive no inaccuracies. The static construction of the massive wall elements and the invisible integration of media technology underscore our claim to seamlessly translate complex design visions into reality.

High-Speed Construction in the City: Renault Group at the Open Space

A completely different set of challenges awaited in the “Open Space” of Munich’s city center. Right in the middle of the public space, Raumtechnik erected the sensational brand presence for the Renault Group based on the design by Lonsdale Design.

Under the premise “Taking on the highest Challenges,” the team performed a true tour de force: Within a time window of just five days, extensive steel construction work was carried out to erect the supporting structures for five pavilions. Parallel to the interior fit-out, the ensemble received its spectacular outer skin: Here, chrome and colored glass were installed. Mounting these sensitive materials flawlessly under the open sky and under enormous time pressure required the utmost care. The precise completion of this complex construction in the bustling center of Munich proves that logistical planning and construction quality go hand in hand at Raumtechnik.
